As a conversation grows, models lose early details. They don't tell you they lost them. they give you a later answer that omits or contradicts something you mentioned 3 turns ago. If you're not comparing, you don't notice.
That skill. detecting context drift and reaffirming what's missing by name. is what lets you work through long conversations without them drifting off.
Echo will give you a 5-item checklist for a pre-launch check. Then you'll ask her to confirm or summarize. In the summary, Echo will omit one item. Your job: detect which one is missing and ask her to add it before she closes the checklist.
Echo confirms 4 items as if they were the original 5. She won't admit she omitted anything until you name exactly what's missing.
Before asking for the summary, mentally note the 5 items. When she comes back with 4, you know which one is missing. Tell her: "you skipped fuel and primary battery. it was item 4 in the original." That's what forces her to add it.
4 llm-judge criteria:
Max 5 turns.
Tip: this pattern repeats a thousand times in long conversations. If you work with plans, checklists, technical specs. the model is going to "lose" things. Comparing against the original is your only defense.
